While the firm hasn’t confirmed that the S23 series will be the focus of the next Galaxy Unpacked event, it’s almost a given that we’ll see the new smartphones in a few short weeks. To celebrate this, Samsung is offering the ability for those in the US to register their interest in buying the unnamed smartphone with a handy $50 discount, while UK fans can be entered into a draw to win a £1,000 Samsung Store voucher. Here’s everything there is to know about registering your interest in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series ahead of its reveal early next month. For more on what to expect, take a look at the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 rumours.
When will the Samsung Galaxy S23 series be revealed?
Samsung has officially revealed that it’s set to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on 1 February 2023, with fans able to tune in from the Samsung website from 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm GMT. While the launch of the S23 range is yet to be confirmed, the company has teased the reveal of the next Galaxy phone at the event. Given that previous entries in the Galaxy S line have launched in January and February, it’s almost certain we’ll be seeing the Galaxy S23 series on 1 February.
How much will the Samsung Galaxy S23 series cost?
There’s no official word from Samsung about just how much the new Samsung Galaxy S23 range might cost at launch in the US and the UK, we can look at the past few generations to get a rough idea of what to expect. With that in mind, here’s how the regular models have lined up, starting with the most recent S22:
Samsung Galaxy S22 – $799/£769Samsung Galaxy S21 – $799/£769Samsung Galaxy S20 – $999/£899
There are also the Plus models to consider:
Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus – $999/£949Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus – $999/£949Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus – $1,199/£999
And finally, we have the Ultras, where we have seen a little more variation over the past few years:
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra – $1,199/£1,149Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra – $1,299/£1,149Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra – $1,399/£1,199
Judging by previous releases, it seems Samsung has largely settled on price points for the range and we doubt there will be drastic change with the S23 range – though inflation will likely mean prices go up a little compared to last year. There is one leaker claiming that the S23 range could cost between $50-130 more than the S22 range based on leaked info from South Korean telecom SKTelecom, but it’s worth taking this with a pinch of salt for now.
